If this doesn’t help you to see how absolutely and entirely insignificant we are, nothing will. As you watch, just think of the grandeur of the universe, our place in it, how lucky we are to be alive, and how much other life must be out there.

Out of this vast universe, you are but one person among 7 billion people, on one planet among 8 planets, in one star system among 100 billion star systems, in one galaxy among 100 billion galaxies.

The cosmos awakens something in me that many people would call a “religious” feeling, but all I need is nature.
