Contrary to what Wile E. Coyote will tell you, the real road runner isn’t actually that fast.

The Greater Roadrunner can reach running speeds of 30 km/hr (18.6 mi/hr). It holds its head and tail flat and parallel to the ground when running at its top speed.

Keep in mind that this isn’t flying speed, so that’s still pretty impressive for a little cuckoo. However, when it does take off, you probably won’t see the cloud of dust.
