This is an interesting concept visualized by Globaia, one that has gained some credibility in scientific circles, which is that there should be a new classification for our current epoch. From the beginning of the industrial revolution, humanity has been able to literally move mountain, reverse rivers, and influence weather through our actions.

Of course, the Earth has not been unaffected, as the threat from anthropogenic global warming clearly demonstrates. While I’m not crazy about the idea of describing a marginal sliver of geologic time with respect to us (humans), it is undoubted that humans have left a mark on this planet, for better or worse.

Below you will find indicators of human activity, perhaps in a thousand years when we destroy ourselves alien archeologists can use these signs to piece together our Anthropocence.
