With your theme of “add a little reason to your life” you shouldn’t be wondering “what the fuss is all about.” When you say “pound for pound, people pay far more than $4/gallon for lots of their favorite things all the time” is just a myopic, narrow-minded statement. True yes maybe, but misleading for sure for those who don’t think holistically… which sadly is most.
Yeah they cost more, but so what? I have yet to meet a girl who buys the same amount or more of nail polish than she does gas in a week. That’d be a LOT of nail polish. Same goes for milk and every other item you have on your list.
So the smartness you allude to and the “flag” you raise are simply facades. Bad logic. That’s all this comparison is. You can do better.
