A little math problem:
Given the sum of $15Trillion, how many gold ounces (and tonnes) is that?
1 ounce (troy) of gold = ~$1,640
$15T/$1,640 = ~9146341463 gold ounces = ~2,843,366 gold tonnes (t)
So, the US owes > 20x the amount of discovered gold. Um, yikes anyone?
